Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Billed as Disney’s “flagship resort,” Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is exquisite with its combination of Victorian style and modern day amenities. The inspiration of the resort comes from Palm Beach’s golden era and can be felt from its verandas, dormers and cupolas, red-gabled roofs and intricate gingerbread trim.

A breathtaking 5-story-high atrium lobby is capped with light filtering stained-glass domes. Glistening chandeliers, an aviary and a grand piano add to the lavish ambiance here. This distinct form extends to the monorail stop that is designed to resemble a Victorian train station.

This resort is a glorious place to have a comfortable seat on one of the gorgeous pieces of Victorian furniture then listen to the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra as they play live in the lobby.

Standard Rooms

Elegance and sophistication are the overriding themes within the rooms.

While not overtly Victorian, they now feature ornamentation and opulent decor, plus Mary Poppins design motifs and art. Victorian meets modern–a fresh and posh intersection of two otherwise disparate design styles.

The rooms have glass-paned doors that slide open onto patios or balconies. All rooms come with an alarm clock with mp3 player, mini fridge, ceiling fan, coffee maker with coffee and tea setup, evening turndown service, hair dryer, ice bucket, safe, iron and ironing board, robes, table and chairs, telephone, television, and triple sheet bedding. Standard guestrooms average about 448 square feet and typically have two queen sized beds and a daybed.

A typical guestroom sleeps 5 but we recommend members with 4 or more guests in their group consider 2 or more rooms.

Connecting Rooms

Surprisingly, the hotel was constructed with very few connecting room.

During the room request process, you will be able to request priority for connecting rooms for an extra fee. Connecting rooms will be confirmed on a first to request basis.

Adjacent rooms are guaranteed for all standard and concierge room reservations.

Premium Rooms

A very limited number of premium rooms are available including Disney Concierge rooms in the main building and 1 and 2 bedroom suites throughout the property.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am.

During the reservation process, you may be offered a range of opportunities provided by Disney to its regular guests such as park tickets and dining reservations. You may decline those offers and rest assured that we will be taking care of all the detail during the Abracadabra! event.

Travel

Onsite registration opens at 11:00 am on Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at the Convention Center at the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Our first event typically begins at 5:00 pm that evening. If possible, you should plan to arrive in time to register and settle in prior to the start of the evening event. Our event concludes with a buffet breakfast with Disney friends on Sunday morning 17 May 2026. The breakfast typically begins at 8:00 am and ends at 10:00 am.
